Our wall and floor tiling service

Large format tiles are unforgiving. They need a flat substrate, careful setting out so cuts are balanced at both ends of a wall, and a levelling system so every edge sits flush. Our tilers take the time to get this right, which is why the marble effect bathrooms in our gallery look seamless.

Tiling is one stage in a bigger job, so we plan it with the plumber and plasterer. Walls are boarded and tanked in wet areas before tiling starts, and niches, shelves and linear drains are built in rather than added on.

Can you tile with large format tiles?

Yes. Most of our recent bathrooms use large format porcelain. We prepare a flat surface, set the tiles out so cuts are balanced, and use a levelling system so the joints sit flush.

Do you waterproof showers before tiling?

Yes. Walls and floors in showers and wet rooms are tanked with a waterproof membrane before any tiles go down, so water cannot get behind the tiles and into the structure.

Can you build recessed shelves into a shower?

Yes. We build recessed niches into stud or boarded walls during the build, then tile them to line up with the joints on the surrounding wall.

Do you tile floors outside the bathroom?

Yes. We tile hallways, kitchens and open plan living spaces, including marble effect porcelain and patterned floor tiles.
